Effects of thoughts on your physical body

We all have heard this statement  "A thought is more powerful than any weapon", we can make or break our lives by thoughts. Now, it's just a theory let me get you some scientific details about how does it happen?

Whenever we create a thought (any thought) be it a positive, negative, or neutral thought corresponding to that thought, hormones in our body release some chemical which in turn affects our mental & Physical well-being.

For instance, thoughts of happiness & joy lead to the release of Endorphins.
Thoughts of anger & hatred lead to the release of cortisol in your body.
